Overview
What gets scanned
An infrared survey covers the distribution path from the service entrance to the load, plus the rotating equipment it feeds. Everything is scanned energized and under normal operating load — a de-energized panel is thermally dead, and hides the exact defect the survey exists to find.

Identification
Prevent failures and downtime
A loose or corroded connection has higher resistance, and resistance under current makes heat. That heat shows on an infrared image long before the connection fails, arcs, or takes the circuit with it. The same is true of an overloaded conductor, a breaker on its way out, or a bearing starting to gall.
Because the scan is non-invasive and happens under load, it gives you the one thing reactive maintenance never does: the ability to schedule. A fault found on a Tuesday scan becomes a work order for the next planned outage instead of an unplanned one at 2am.
Safety
The failures you do not want to have
Overheating electrical components are a leading cause of industrial and commercial fires, and arc-flash incidents injure people who were doing nothing wrong. Finding an overheating termination is not only a reliability win — it removes a hazard from a space your people work in every day.
Surveys are performed with appropriate PPE and access practices. Where covers must come off for a clear view, that work is coordinated with your qualified electrical staff rather than assumed.
Routine maintenance
Making the program worth more each year
A first survey tells you what is wrong today. Its greater value is as a baseline: when we scan the same equipment next year under comparable load, the comparison shows what is changing. A termination that has climbed fifteen degrees since last year is a different conversation from one that has always run warm.
That is what moves a site from preventive to genuinely predictive, and it is why the annual scan is worth more than the first one.
The report
What you get back
Each anomaly is documented with a paired thermal and visual image, the component and its location, the measured temperature difference against a reference, the load at the time of the scan, and a severity with a recommended action. Written to be handed straight to an electrician, an insurer, or a corporate maintenance review without translation.
